Letter to My Baby: Week 17

Dear Ryder,

Well, Momma went back to work this week.  It was hard, but I think we did okay.  If you are awake when I get home you give me a big grin, lean and reach for me, and start talking.  You and your Daddy are having fun together.   He takes you for walks and reads you stories and makes you giggle.  You like touching the hair on his chin.  Momma thinks you look like a little baby orangutan when you rest your head on his chest and grab onto his shirt.

You are getting better at grabbing onto your toys, although most of the time you get so excited about whatever you are holding you immediately drop it.  You love chewing on washcloths, bibs, and Momma’s shirt!  You are also quite the drool monster.

It is fun to take you places and watch how intently you study the world around you.  You enjoy walks.  You handle being around new people really well, and find other babies and children especially interesting.  It makes me happy to see how you are learning and what makes you smile.
